This practical manual on founding and operating a non-profit organization (i.e. condominium associations), discusses the legal, financial and economic grounds for condominium work and also generalizes the experience of condominiums regarding maintenance and use of commonly shared property in The authors aim is to provide practical advice on how to start effectively managing apartment buildings through the creation of condominium associations. The manual consists of four chapters dedicated to: (1) the role of local authorities in establishing condominiums; (2) the legal, social and psychological aspects of creating such associations; (3) condominium activity regarding maintenance and use of commonly shared property, and (4) reporting and accountability in condominiums. The book is supplemented with 11 appendices.
