The People’s Voice project is implemented in Ukraine and the website is meant to be used as a resource centre for representatives of local government and NGOs from other cities in Ukraine. For this reason, most of the information is in Ukrainian. If you want to get a certain document or information in English and it is not available on the website, please contact the project coordination team at pvp@icps.kiev.ua

01.04.08 - THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE’S VOICE PROJECT
Although the People’s Voice has come to a completion in February 2008, it is hoped that many of the resources, materials and best practices from the project can still be shared with municipalities in Ukraine and in other countries so that can seek to improve the “quality of life” for local citizens.

23.07.07 - Delegation from Alchevsk and Makiyivka visits Lutsk
Representatives of local self-government authorities in cities of Alchevsk (Luhansk oblast) and Makiyivka (Donetsk oblast) headed by General Chiefs of Staff paid an official visit to Lutsk. The main goal of the visit was to study application of the quality management system in the Lutsk City Council executive powers. Pursuing this very objective the delegation also visited Polish cities of Krasnik and Swidnik.

18.07.07 - Comprehensive approach to training personnel
The city of Makiyivka experiences quite rapid and mass establishment of condominium associations today, which are alternative agencies for housing management. At the same time, condominiums lack skillful managers badly. Thus, the Housing Department endeavors to raise condominium heads’ qualifications and equip them with necessary knowledge on the regular basis.

On July 2-3 in Kyiv there was held an International Conference on Institutional and Legal Aspects of Housing Reform in Ukraine. The organizers of the conference were the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and People's Voice Project.
